The mother of St Dominic had a vision that her unborn child was a dog who would set the world on fire with a torch it carried in its mouth, which became the symbol for the Dominican religious order. As a Dominican myself, I want to capture the spirit of Dominic to help not only people in need but animals that were created by God for us. There are many animals in need, as well as humans and anything we can do to help them will make this a better world.
